Mermaid Garden Cafe Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Wow, my last review was in 2011, and it's probably overdue that I update things. Mermaid Cafe is a bright, cheerful cafe in the heart of downtown. It's only open on weekdays (dang it). They offer consistently delicious salads, wraps, homemade soups, and sandwiches. Lots of vegetarian options, and lots of veggies!! Mermaid gets really busy, so going earlier (11:30ish) is best, if you can swing it. I highly recommend their southwestern potato salad as a side. Yum. Soups are always outstanding too (they change daily...today I had a cup of roasted red pepper and sweet corn soup). Paninis and sandwiches are served in local bread from Green Blade Bakery. My current favorite is the grilled garden havarti panini. My mom enjoyed her wrap as well (it had arugula, pears, blue cheese, chicken, and other goodies in it). (My husband likes this place too; it's not just for the ladies!!)

Wonderful place for lunch. I had the Thai chicken wrap, hubby had the caprese wrap. Both were very good. This seemed like a true locals place.

Very upscale health food restaurant. Very pricey lunch prices. $9.50 for a sandwich. Granted, the sandwich was VERY delicious. However, we found the potato salad quite bland, and the salad was like grazing in a field. Like taking a big ol' bite of grass. Just not appetizing. However... the staff was VERY nice and the service was quick. All good things. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you would probably love this place. Otherwise you really only get a couple of options. Not my cup of tea... it should I say: not my bowl of grass.

One of the best cafes in town and have good veggie options as well. Casual atmosphere and nice people and good location

Well, we didn't eat at this restaurant, so this rating isn't for the food, but instead for the excellent service. We were driving through town, and came upon this place, and walked inside. The cafe had just opened, and it was apparent that the people working were busy getting prepared for the day. Despite that, a waitress walked up and greeted us, and gave all four of us menus, and discussed a few items that we should try on the menu, as we'd never been there before. Because we wanted breakfast food, we opted not to eat there (they have mostly lunch items). The woman who had greeted us kindly gave us very detailed directions to a very good breakfast place, as we expressed that we were in the mood for that. She basically took her time out of getting prepared, to help customers who weren't going to eat at her establishment. The breakfast place that she suggested turned out to be fabulous. From my perspective, good service is key in a restaurant's success, and we were provided with great service.

Simple, fresh, delicious food and excellent, friendly service. I had stopped by in 2012 to pick up a sandwich on my way to Crater Lake, and I remembered it fondly enough to seek it out again last month, again on the way to Crater Lake. The restaurant was still closed, but the door was open as two women prepared for the day. They immediately welcomed us, gave us menus, and happily made our sandwiches over an hour before they actually opened. I did end up ordering the same meal -- curried turkey wrap with asian slaw -- and it once again held up nicely for better than 3 hours, only to be devoured overlooking the bluest blue there is.

I really enjoyed how friendly, warm, and welcoming this establishment is. I had the mulligatawny soup today and loved it. The only downfall, not many gluten free options. But what there is is very tasty.

I have been coming here for years and this place never fails to deliver. I can always count on their paninis to be delicious. I am partial to their Reuben sandwich, but all the sandwiches I have tried are good. I wish their cookies were bigger. And I'm not thrilled with the sides. But who cares about the sides so long as the sandwiches are great and the cookies are tasty at any size?

We stopped in on our way from Lake Tahoe to Bend, Oregon. It was the absolute perfect stop for our vegetarian family. I was so grateful for the friendly service and oh so delicious havarti sandwich!! A must stop when you want better than average road trip food! Oh and if it is in season, you MUST get the fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade. Hands down the yummiest.

Filled with friendly locals, this was the perfect stop on my road trip. A significant side salad came with my delicious wrap. Sliced chicken and lots of veggies in my wrap. I got the Chicken and Artichoke and had half to take with me! Fantastic!

We went here while visiting Klamath Falls. My brother-law-pick it out as we were walking through the town. I thought it looked like an ordinary coffee shop and I was reluctant to go inside, but I'm glad I did! The staff if friendly and the food is fantastic. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich (can't remember the name of it, "mushroom something"). The food was great, as was the atmosphere and prices.

Mermaid is always reliable for good food and fast friendly service. The soup here is always delicious no matter what is on the menu for the day. Kelly is also very willing to tweak her non-vegetarian options to make them suitable for her non meat eating customers. I am glad to see that new items are popping up on the menu!!

A friend recommended this restaurant since we are new to town. They had very friendly service and delicious food! The Santa Fe grilled cheese with chicken was outstanding!

We were passing through on a road trip from Pismo Beach, CA to Oakridge, OR. Kelly and her staff were so nice an accommodating. They don't have a lot on the kids menu, but were more than happy to wipe up sliced chicken breast along with the quesadilla that was on the menu. My wife and I split the chicken pear wrap which my wife thought sounded great and I thought it sounded ok. It was AMAZING!!! when I went up to pay I saw the cookies and the snicker-doodle was quite possibly the best I've ever had and I would consider myself a snicker-doodle aficionado. If you want a quick, healthy, fresh, great tasting lunch, this is the place for you.

This restaurant always aims to please. I've been several times over a couple years and I have never, ever, been disappointed. Their Santa Fe grilled cheese is melt in your mouth delicious (they know how to grill avocado without it becoming mushy and gross) and the Ruben is pretty great too. If you're looking for a coleslaw without mayonnaise they have a Thai slaw which is crunchy and fresh. This place is only open for lunch and they close at 2pm, so if you're looking for a great place early in the day, head over here!

We had the Thai wrap which was delicious. The potato salad had some Mexican spices in it which my husband loved. The split peas soup was good but not a thick as I am used to. Also the chicken soup as amazing!!! Glad we stopped in in our road trip!

Delicious! The southwestern potato salad was awesome with a a chipotle dressing, black beans, corn and peppers. We had the Santa fe chicken panini and Greek chicken panini. The Santa Fe was the best one, and the service was very friendly.

They always have good sammies and soups...but, their prices are high for sammies & soups. However, the are a nice option for vegetarians.

We stopped off in Klammath for a quick lunch and we were so stoked! I had a "make your own" salad and my hubby had a Santa Fe grilled cheese with chicken. Both were super tasty and we were full. The ranch dressing was out of this world yummy and it was homemade to boot! Service was great and friendly too! Super happy we stopped there on our 10 hour road trip!

I was more than impressed. The Santa Fe grilled cheese was beyond delicious. The same for the roasted red pepper and corn soup. If you haven't been here go soon! You won't be disappointed!
